UK Drivers  ****Pre-booking Information****

Since 8th June 2015 and the abolition of the use of the paper counterpart licence, when you hire a vehicle you must provide evidence of what vehicles you can drive and confirmation of any penalty points on your licence.

This can now be done in one of two ways:

  1. You can request a unique code from www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence which allows you to share your details with us.

It is important that you note this code only lasts for up to 21 days and is case sensitive please take this into consideration when forwarding the code to us for checking.

  1. Alternatively, if you can not manage to generate a code online you can call the DVLA direct on 0300 7906801 and they will provide you with one.

Your unique code must be supplied before your rental start date, no code = no hire.

Non UK Drivers

Due to insurance restrictions we can only accept licences from the following countries;

We will not be able to validate a licence if is not legible by a member of our staff or uses non-western characters/data that can not be understood.

We highly recommend the following website for advice on driving in Scotland on the left side of the road for the first time http://www.roadsafetyscotland.org.uk/publications-and-statistics/driving-scotland-leaflet .
